Welcome to MarkUp!

MarkUp is a quick and convenient tool for things like: 1) annotating your screen. 2) guiding others during presentations or screen sharing. 3) brainstorming with quick sketches. 4) and collaborating with others in real-time. It's easy to use - just run the app in the background and click the pencil icon to start drawing anywhere on your screen. Or, start a collaboration session to draw on the same screen.

It turns semi-transparent when drawing, but if it's in your way still, use the far left handle to click and drag anywhere you like.

There are three ways to stop drawing:

  • Click the pencil icon in the status bar again
  • Use the action bar

To start a collaboration session:

  1. Use any screen sharing application to share your whole screen with a group

  3. A QR code will be displayed. Make sure your participants can see it.
  4. Each participant should open MarkUp locally and click join session.
  5. Start drawing!

How to quit

If you need to quit the application to free up resources, simply right click the pencil icon in the status bar. This will present a menu with the only option being to quit. Press it and the application will close itself completely.
