it was seemingly because of boot.initrd.systemd.enable = true. with bcacheFS as root. maybe related to NixOS/nixpkgs#149539. See my issue: #1

this doesnt happen at least in my config anymore, but its still an issue I believe, maybe I should report it.. |

Only happened 2 in every 3 boots with the option boot.initrd.systemd.enable = true
The error was happening in this commit ac93f3d of my repo, in the boot.nix file of kakariko is the relevant code.
