Embedded websites

Some websites embed other websites within them. Displaying a website inside of a website can cause some conflicts depending on the specific website rules that you have configured in the Custom Scrollbars settings.

For example, assume you have Website A set to display a red scrollbar and Website B is set to display a blue scrollbar. If Website B is embedded within Website A, what colour should the scrollbar be? Should Website B still follow the rule and display a blue scrollbar or should Website B inherit the scrollbar customization from Website A?

In the advanced settings in the Custom Scrollbars add-on, you can specify whether embedded websites should inherit the rules from the main website that they are embedded within or if they should use their own styling based on the rules that you have enabled in the add-on.

Using the example described above, allowing embedded websites to inherit the scrollbar appearance from the main website would mean that Website B will display a red scrollbar like Website A. If you prevent embedded websites from inheriting the scrollbar appearance, Website B will display a blue scrollbar and Website A will display a red scrollbar.

Setting this option to Yes is recommended for most users.
