Expo activated with mouse on hot corner seems to delay the workspace click

Describe the bug
I set expo in the top-left corner so that I can activate it with the mouse. Let say I'm in workspace 1, when I activate expo and quickly click on workspace 2, it doesn't work. I either stay at the expo screen or be directed back to workspace 1. In the video, I tried activating expo twice. The first time, clicking on workspace 2 has no effect. The second time, it directed me back to workspace 1.

Using the keyboard works. For example, when I activate expo with mouse and then quickly press 2, it brings me to workspace 2 just fine.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Enable expo
2. Set the toggle to hotspot left-top 1x1 50 in order to activate it with the mouse.
3. Activate expo by moving the mouse to the top-left corner, quickly choose a workspace.
4. It either directs back to original workspace, or stay there.

Expected behavior
As soon as I click on the target workspace, it will bring me there, similar to how activation with keyboard works.
