To boot into Normal Mode, several steps have to be executed.
- Now download the latest version of the Development Tool.
NOTE: You can find it here.
- Extract Windows_RT_8.1_Development_Tool_VX.X_BUILD_XXXX.zip. You will find a folder called Windows_RT_8.1_Development_Tool_VX.X_BUILD_XXXX. Inside the folder, you will find a file named Windows_RT_8.1_Development_Tool_VX.X_BUILD_XXXX.bat. Run Windows_RT_8.1_Development_Tool_VX.X_BUILD_XXXX.bat.
- When the tool asks for administrator elevation, click yes.
- If you understand and accept the disclaimer, press any key to continue. You will see a menu.
1 = Modify Windows Update
2 = Remove Infected Updates
3 = Boot Into Test Mode
4 = Boot Into Normal Mode
5 = Exit
- Choose option 4 to boot into Normal Mode. Windows RT 8.1 will automatically reboot.
- After the reboot, you have to check if you have successfully been booted into Normal Mode. You have successfully been booted into Normal Mode when you don't see a watermark in the right corner of your desktop. If you do see anything, please reply here.
NOTE: All the applications and the binaries that you have run while being in Test Mode will still work, because Windows RT 8.1 caches the applications and the binaries that are allowed to run. But if you change any of those applications and binaries, or try installing any new ones, they won't work!
