AWS Suggests: Cloudberry

Prerequisite: Speak with IS Team about getting you a user with an access key, secret key, and proper 'tnris-ls4' bucket permissions.

  1. visit the site above and download (.exe). on download the site presents you with an activation key: leave the site up so you can use it
  2. double click the .exe to run the installer
  3. choose the 'Free' version with limited functionality
  4. it will prompt to enter the activation code. do so and click to continue.
  5. when installation is complete, open cloudberry
  6. choose 'Amazon s3' and then click 'close'
  7. top left: File -> Add New Amazon S3 Account
  8. fill in display name. choose 'Use Access and Secret keys' and enter them. then click OK
  9. on 1 half of the explorer, change the 'Source' to be the account you just added
  10. click the green cube (with a yellow spark lookin thing) icon just below the 'Source' dropdown: 'External Bucket'
  11. in the prompt, type 'tnris-ls4' and click OK
  12. then you can drag-n-drop files from local filesystem to s3 bucket in proper location
  13. SUPER IMPORTANT: you will be dropping off .tifs originals within .../scanned and geroreferenced .tifs within .../georef and after every time you paste a new .tif you must right click the file, choose 'ACL Settings', click 'Public (everyone)', then click OK. This is important because it applys permissions so these files to be publicly downloaded. The final WMS service provides the link for this download and that link will not work if the ACL Settings are not updated!
