Handling of whitespace in new slide template

Before commit 26dba4b (updated slide template) it looked better, like this:

I'm not sure what is going on there, but it seems to be due to some update in the slide template regarding the handling of whitespace.

I am not sure what has changed, as it seems to work now correctly ... I will look at it next week again and try to find out whether there actually is an issue.

I found the issue by combinatorial interaction analysis... it does not occur in university=anonymous, where image credits are deactivated with \renewcommand{\pic}[2][]{\includegraphics[#1]{#2}}. So, the issue lies somewhere with the \pic command and how it handles image credits. The next step would be to look up when this command was changed the last time.
