What is Belinda's Closet?

Belinda's Closet is a project that was brought about by Staff member BC Ko as a means for Students to have tangible experience on a product before graduation, as well as to fill a needed hole for the school; North Seattle College.

What is this App for?

Belinda's Closet purpose is two-fold as stated above. However, to add on, it will be used as a means for staff and admin within the school to put events together in a cohesive and visible way for students to interact with.

What problem does this app solve?

The application fills a needed slot in the environment for the EDIC staff at the school who work at Belinda's Closet to organize products and display them for students. During the school year, Belinda's Closet gets very full with inventory and there is a lack of student traffic to utilize this service that the school offers free of charge. The app will have sections with available clothing in stock to allow students the ability see what they want before they come in to try on/pick up. This will be especially helpful to those with accessibility needs.

How do we accomplish our goals for the above?

By using student workers to design and plan this application in cooperation with the school, we are able to build a positive rapport between faculty, and students, as well as create a viable pipeline to aid students that may not be successful in their time at NSC in getting a summer internship in their Junior or Senior year. It will be possible to get affordable labor for the school, and students to create a visible product so that upon graduation they have more than just class projects to talk about. This is primarily geared towards the years current Application Dev and Computer Science Students.
