We will add team member to the production database on a request-only basis. The team member will let myself or another leader with the permissions to add members and/or give database access what permissions they need and why. Then the leader can give those permissions on a case by case basis. For development databases we are creating our own databases until a development database is created. We can then create users for database access for each team member for the development database. This will keep the production database protected and follows the Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP).
