Service isn't working

I just tried texting 1 (415) 367-3288, per text-msg-demo.png and also as mentioned at https://refugerestrooms.org/text.

I got this in response:

This is Lyft. We could not forward your message.

I get the sense that the number our SMS service was using, once upon a time, is not still attached to our SMS service.

We don't heavily advertise the feature

It's mentioned in this repo's README.md, and in our translation files: text_msg.en.yml. That's pretty much it. We don't even link to it anywhere on the site, so you have to enter the URL manually to get there.

"Action Items" (what to do about it?)

• We can potentially get the service running again, presumably attached to a new phone #.
  • Update demo image and texting service page to reflect updated phone #.
  • Link to SMS service page from Resources drop-down menu?
  • See documentation at https://github.com/RefugeRestrooms/refugerest_sms

Or...

• We can consider the texting service out-of-order, and do some cleanup.
  • Delete texting service explainer page and its translation file from the repo, so translators don't have to do work translating a feature that's not working.
  • This ensures site visitors do not end up at https://refugerestrooms.org/text, (which as far as I can tell advertises a feature that isn't actually available.)
  • Any time we want the files back, just look back in commit history to retrieve the files, or revert commit that deleted the files.
