bug(YouTube - Spoof app version): If patching 19.34+, version spoofing to 18.x or lower breaks the Shorts player buttons #3801
Comments
Which version was spoofed? |
The Shorts player buttons are broken with all spoof targets (18.33.40 and below). Manually adding 19.16.39 spoof target works and the Shorts player buttons appear. But I don't see any difference with and without version spoofing for that particular target. |
Does it work well at 18.38.45? |
All spoof targets break the Shorts player buttons. The only fix is to patch 19.16.39 and then all spoof targets work and the Shorts player buttons are visible. |
What to do now that 19.43 is the recommended version? Because all the existing spoof targets break the Shorts player. If there's any useful spoof targets above 19.16.39, then those targets can be options if patching 19.34+ |
If anyone wants to help find suitable spoof targets when using 19.43, the spoof target can be modified by going to:
and modifying the target to any other version: If this line is not present in the settings, then paste it as the first line before everything else. After changing the version press import and restart the app.
If you notice anything different when spoofing to 19.16.39 or higher, then post your findings here. |
Bug description
If using 19.34 and version spoofing is enabled, then all overlay buttons in the Shorts player are hidden.
Excluding all patches except
GmsCore support
andSpoof app version
does not fix the issue. It's also not an issue with old and new app data getting confused, as manually changing spoof app version to default on with a fresh install does not fix it.
