+PM appreciates donation for flood-affected victims
+November 26, 2024, at 1200hrs, at the Purple Room, Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra received the donation, at the amount of 1 million Baht, from president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and FETCO Director and Board Secretary Asadej Kongsiri for the relief and assistance to disaster-affected victims. Attending the presentation of donation were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Phumtham Wechayachai, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Chousak Sirinil, Minister of Commerce Pichai Naripthaphan, and Deputy Minister of Interior Theerarat Samrejvanich. Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed gist as follows:
+The Prime Minister thanked the private sector and organizations for their good intention to help flood-affected victims, and added that she and members of the cabinet are scheduled to visit Chiang Rai at the end of this week. There, the Prime Minister will hand down related policy directives for flood prevention, and will use the donation money to help affected victims according to the donor’s intention. She also expressed appreciation to the donor on behalf of the victims.

+Singaporean PM to pay official visit to Thailand on Nov 28
+Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub disclosed that H.E Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Thailand on November 28, 2024, as guest of the Thai Government. His official visit is upon an invitation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. This is also his first official visit to Thailand as the Prime Minister of Singapore following his assumption of the position in May 2024.
+Upon his arrival at the Government House, the Singaporean Prime Minister will attend the official welcoming ceremony, meet with the Thai Prime Minister, and witness the signing of MOUs and Agreements between various agencies of the two countries. The two Prime Ministers will, then, hold a joint press conference, before attending the luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Paetongtarn in honor of the Singaporean Prime Minister.
+According to the Government Spokesperson, Thailand and Singapore will celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025. Bilateral meeting between the two leaders is aimed to further strengthen relations and cooperation in various areas, e.g., exchange of visits, security and economic partnership, people-to-people relations, and strategic cooperation. The two leaders will also discuss cooperation promotion in new areas for mutual interests, i.e., cyber security, digital economy, green economy, and investment in future industries.

+วันนี้ (27 พฤศจิกายน 2567) นางสาวศศิกานต์ วัฒนะจันทร์ รองโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เผยว่า ข้อมูลจากงานวิจัยล่าสุดของแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลด้านการท่องเที่ยว Agoda (อโกด้า) ได้ประเมินถึงโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจที่ประเทศไทยจะได้รับจากการบังคับใช้กฎหมายสมรสเพศเดียวกันในวันที่ 22 มกราคม 2568 ที่จะถึงนี้ ซึ่งทำให้ไทยเป็นประเทศแรกในอาเซียนที่รับรองกฎหมายฯ และเป็นประเทศที่สามในเอเชีย รองจากไต้หวัน และเนปาล โดยคาดการณ์ว่า กฎหมายสมรสเท่าเทียมของไทยจะช่วยดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติเพิ่มขึ้น 4 ล้านคนต่อปี หรือราว 10% และสร้างรายได้จากการท่องเที่ยวเกือบ 2 พันล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐต่อปี หรือราว 69,000 ล้านบาทต่อปี ภายในระยะเวลา 2 ปี หลังจากที่กฎหมายมีผลบังคับใช้ กระจายรายได้ไปยังหลายภาคส่วน อาทิ การจองที่พัก การบริการอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม การจับจ่ายซื้อสินค้า และการเดินทางภายในประเทศ เป็นต้น
+นอกจากนี้ ผลเชิงบวกที่คาดว่าจะเกิดขึ้น คือ การสนับสนุนการสร้างงานประจำเพิ่มอีก 152,000 ตำแหน่ง โดย 76,000 ตำแหน่ง จะเกิดขึ้นโดยตรงในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว และอีก 76,000 ตำแหน่งจะกระจายไปยังภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ของเศรษฐกิจไทย ขณะเดียวกัน ยังจะผลักดันให้ผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศ (GDP) ของไทยเพิ่มขึ้น 0.3%
+“รัฐบาลสานต่อนโยบายสมรสเท่าเทียม เดินหน้าผลักดันให้ไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน “WORLD PRIDE 2030”  ซึ่งเป็นงานเฉลิมฉลองความหลากหลายทางเพศระดับโลก โดยช่วงที่นครซิดนีย์ของออสเตรเลียเป็นเจ้าภาพในปี 2023 สามารถทำรายได้ 185.6 ล้านดอลลาร์ออสเตรเลียหรือราว 4,000 ล้านบาท ตามรายงานของ Agoda รัฐบาลพร้อมสนับสนุนความเท่าเทียมและความหลากหลายทางเพศ  เพื่อเสริมยุทธศาสตร์ให้กับการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทย ซึ่งประเมินว่าผลการบังคับใช้กฎหมายสมรสเท่าเทียมอย่างเป็นทางการ จะสร้างเม็ดเงินทางเศรษฐกิจ เป็นจำนวนมาก” นางสาวศศิกานต์ ระบุ
