v 3.2.0 Add OptiX Temporal Denoiser
Adds support for OptiX Temporal Denoiser
There are 2 passes required:
- Render the noisy images for your animation (view layers will each be rendered to a separate directory)
- Run the Temporal Denoiser on the noisy images, replacing them with the denoised result
Instructions
- In the Render Properties window, make sure the Render Engine is set to Cycles
- Scroll down to find the Create Super Denoiser panel
- Set the Denoiser Type to Temporal
- Choose an output Image Directory. We recommend you create this directory beside your Blender project file.
- Press Render Noisy Frames 1/2 - this will enable the required denoiser data and render all frames in the animation
- Wait for rendering to complete
- Temporal denoising will modify the rendered files, so if you want to make a backup of your rendered frames before running the Temporal Denoiser, do so now
- Press Denoise Noisy Frames 2/2 and read the pop-up
- Wait for denoising to complete. Blender will appear to freeze - this is normal - please be patient.
- Your denoised frames can be found in the Image Directory you specified in Step 4
Important
- Blender 3.0 DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY with SUPER quality. Please use Standard or High quality instead.
- This bug is fixed in Blender 3.1.
v 3.1.2 Fix an issue with case-sensitive directory names
This update fixes an issue with the addon for non-Windows OS

v 3.1.1 Add Refresh Super Denoiser button & bugfix

Hide Temporal denoiser option for Blender 3.0 users and beyond. Blender Foundation has removed the NLM denoiser from version 3.0, so this feature no longer works.
Important
- Blender 3.0 DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY with SUPER quality. Please use Standard or High quality instead.
- This bug is fixed in Blender 3.1.
v 3.1.0 Add support for Blender 3.0 and OpenImageDenoiser prefiltering
- The
Noisy Image
pass has been removed in Blender 3.0 when built-in denoising is disabled, so we will connect theImage
pass (which is noisy) instead. - When available, prefiltering will be set to Accurate on High and SUPER presets, and FAST on Standard preset.
