Nightscout on Google Clud - missing Status page after update #3847
-
Hi! Today I updated one Nightscout on Google Clud (that was initially set up in May 2023) from 14.2.6 to 15.0.2. Update was performed through regular "Update platform" option and after the update the phase 1 has been performed because of the 502 error. After the Phase 1 the NS started to work again but the Status Page is not shown when the option "1. Status" is selected from the main menu. The process starts with "Please be patient..." but then after few seconds the main Menu is show again without displaying the Status Page. |

Can you exit the menu and type the following in the terminal?

Dear @Navid200 thank you so much for being so fast in your response! Huge respect from me!! You were so fast that I did not managed to report here the info I figured out couple of minutes ago that the issue seams as the ssh client related. In my case the default window size of the putty client made the status page not visible. If it is changed the status page is show just fine. |

Yes, you are right, after several attempts the status page viewed using google integrated ssh browser client also shows valid certificate. Interesting behavior, little bit confusing, but everything is just fine now. tnx again for your knowledge and time. Yes, the new status page on my machine looks exactly as the one on the link you provided except that the ubuntu update is slightly newer (5.15.0-1072-gcp compared to the one from the link 5.15.0-1067-gcp) |

Maybe one more thing that potentially might be interesting (please just ignore it if it is not important) that I just noticed comparing different ssh clients compatibility with NS on gcloud. In the google browser ssh client when you exit main menu in order to go to the shell (terminal) you can not go back to the menu by using the "menu" command - it reports the error: "-bash: menu: command not found" |

I am not saying that the "menu" command error "-bash: menu: command not found" is browser related but it seams that it is ssh client related. In putty everything works as expected, but it seams that the SSH client that is part of the google console displays the above mentioned error when you exit from the main NS menu to the shell (terminal) and than try to get back to the main menu by using the command "menu" in the shell. |

Ok, that is good you figured out what was going on.
The status page should not show invalid. However, sometimes it does and just going back to the main menu and returning to the status page should correct it. If you do that and still see invalid, there could be something wrong with the certificate.
But, if everything working, I expect that the status page should show everything to be OK after returning to it.
