Agree, I would expect this to target branch-21.06 and have it propagate forward. Not must-fix, as we can always cherry-pick backwards as was done for #3118 |

yeah I was waiting to see if we wanted it there before targetting it for that, I'll put up a separate PR for branch-21.06. |
