Here are several situations where you might get the error message "REopt could not find an optimal solution for these inputs", or an infeasible solution.

  • If you overly constrain the size of the system in a way that doesn't allow access to enough power to meet the critical load for the entire outage period, the solution becomes infeasible. This could happen if you constrain both the maximum size of your PV and your battery, and also constrain the size and/or amount of diesel fuel for a backup generator.
  • If you are attempting to evaluate only a generator during a significant outage, and you don't override the default "fuel availability" of 660 gallons with a larger volume of fuel, then you…
