5 stands is incredibly funny. Wizards are like the only ones who can stack em in the first place and wizard is wild, they should be able to do dumb shit like that. Maybe make the cost progressively bigger if you're scared. 2 (its 2 right) for the first one 3 then 4 so it caps at 3 + one spell and not 5. 3 stands is still really funny

This is actually incorrect. DIO has 1 Stand in canon, and an upgraded stand in a non-cannon game.
Emporio only has one stand (Burning down the house) and temporarily gets another via a disk. If you are talking about Diavolo, then King Crimson is Diavolo's stand and Doppio's Stand is Euology

How exactly do you think he was pulling out polaroids of the gang's location? With The World? Lol. He also had clearly animated purple vines in the anime and iirc had vines in the manga too.

Also whether or not Epitaph is Doppio's ability or just a part of King Crimson is disputed iirc. Doppio can't use KC without permission from Diavolo, but Diavolo can use both. Also, when Chariot Requiem moved Doppio into Bruno's body, Diavolo retained Epitaph even after Doppio died which makes no sense if Epitaph was Doppio's stand.

You would know that's Jonathan's stand, Not Dio Brando's. DIO is only 1 person due to vampiric nonsense. DIO is also two people, Dio Brando's Head on Jonathan's body. It's reasonable to believe that DIO is "two people", with both Dio brando's stand (the world) and Jonathan's stand.
It's an anomaly, Josuke Higashikata in Part 8 does NOT have two stands becuase it's a fusion of two people with stands. DIO has "two stands" becuase it's some vampire's head on another mfer's body.

It also could be argued that Epitaph isn't entirely a full stand. It's a second ability on the first stand the same way Bites The Dust and Sheer Heart attack is. (This is different from the dead cat because the dead cat stand was just placed inside Killer queen)

But fr this can get argued all day, hermit purple itself is theorized to be the peak of Hamon and not a stand at all, and if Joseph can manifest it, Jonathan sure as shit could. So the question becomes, why would dio be able to control Jonathan's literal embodiment of his spirit?

The real answer is araki legitimately wanted dio to be the king of all stands and have every ability up to the final battle, but realized he could not bullshit his way for dio to lose

I'd say it's DIO's in part 3. Specifically because Jonathan's soul is gone afaik and we know stands are tied to the soul due to Chariot Requiem. Either way this entire thing now hinges on a "the author hasn't told us" situation so... oh well.
