When adding an Union-X (3065) to the rooster, a repair task appears to remove ammo. Namely, the gauss and LRM ammo on the nose. 4 and 2 shots, respectively.
The game actually removes, as expected, a ton of ammo from each, so 8 and 6 respectively.
This might be related to #2296, particularly the comments at the end about DS ammo bin name changes. There's even a comment regarding the odd value for ammo the Union-X has.
Edit:
Putting the Union in the MekHQ mechlab shows that it's missing 2 UAC/2 ammo bins and 1 Gauss ammo bin.
Finishing the refit, the Union is down 4 shots of gauss and 2 of LRM on the nose. It also keeps the same BV of the original, instead of lower when you make the repairs mentioned above.
Also of note, the ammo-reduced Union appears in the hangar with "Light Damage", but no repair tasks.
