Clicking on exporting highlands links creates a third file

I have MarkMind annotations in MarkDown mode.

example

If I have a pdf called “MarkMind.PDF"
Then create a new md called “Untitled"
set it up for MarkMind PDF annotation

mindmap-plugin: rich
annotate-target: /MarkMind.pdf
annotate-type: pdf
---

I then create highlights
Then I "export pdf highlight annotations"
this creates "Untitled-exportHighlight"
If I open this file and click on any of the links
it creates a new md file called "MarkMind-annotate”
this contains

---
annotate-target: MarkMind.pdf
---

it shows MarkMind.PDF without any of the annotations.
So now I have MarkMind.PDF, Untitled , Untitled-exportHighlight and MarkMind-annotate.
I only want MarkMind.PDF, Untitled and Untitled-exportHighlight. I expected links to go to
Untitled where the JSON data is and open the PDF at the correct page etc showing the highlights.

is this a bug?

This issue seems to have gone for now since updating PDFS
