Install Problem #575

Hi!

I would like to install Leantime on my web server. However, I don't understand the installation instructions.

Which folder should I load onto the server?

I have loaded the entire Leantime v2.1.8 folder content into a subdomain. lean.meinedomain.de.

I have also adjusted the config. However, as in the instructions, I cannot find an install folder. I can find an install.php, but I only get a white page.

I hope someone can help me.

I found the issue and will commit an update as well as php8 support today

Was able to solve the problem. The entire contents of the folder must be uploaded. The error was in the configuration.php.

Hi I am having same problem. White page with warning No input file specified.

I downloaded the 2.18.zip uploaded and then extract. I've also added the nginx.conf in the root folder

I downloaded the 2.1.8.zip and extract it on a subdomain. The databaseconnection works and the tables are created. After pressing the create-button the installation-page ("This script will set up your database and create an administrator account") is loading. Then nothing happens.

If I load the subdomain the login-page is showing. After pressing the login-button I see a white/empty page.

Is the installation-process not finished? What is the problem?

This is odd. Something went wrong with the db install. And everything after that seems to be related to a failed installation.
Can you delete all the tables the script generated and try again?

I try it with PHP-Version 7.4.28 and it works. After pressing "install" there is

The installation was successful
You can now login using your workspace URL:DOMAIN

instead of

This script will set up your database and create an administrator account

On www.leantime.io is no explicit info that PHP 8 is not supported :-(

Leantime requires PHP 7.1 and MySQL 5.6. We recommend using Apache as your server.

@marcelfolaron, Thanks again for your efforts. Could you please specify when you are planning the next release? I have seen many of your replies where you give a similar answer without an actual release.. I just started using Leantime and I love it but I'd like to understand how this project will develop.
