Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Kanishk3813/Dark-Pattern-Buster.git

• Run the server.py file
• Please Note : Install necessary python libraries by (pip install {library_name}) .
• Navigate to chrome://extensions in your Chrome browser.
• Enable Developer mode.
• Click on "Load unpacked" and select the cloned repository folder.

Usage

1. Click on the Dark Pattern Buster extension icon in your browser toolbar to activate it.
2. Browse the web as usual, and dark pattern keywords will be highlighted on webpages.
3. Hover over the highlighted keywords to view informative tooltips describing the type of dark pattern.
4. The extension will also display a safety assessment for visited sites and provide options for user reporting.
5. Customize your experience through the extension's settings and preferences.
