I've given ASF my 2fa code for login when it was asked in the terminal, now it can start without asking anything. How long will it take until it asks for another 2fa code, or what should happen for this to be necessary? I'm asking because I run it in headless mode on Linux server, 24/7. As a service... |

For as long as Steam doesn't invalidate it. It's hard to predict when it happens, some people already run for years without a need to revalidate, others need to revalidate on weekly, sometimes even daily basis. If you intend to run it completely headless, I recommend to set up ASF 2FA, which is described on the wiki in two-factor authentication section. It's the only way to make sure that ASF will never require any login credentials from you. Otherwise, you have to take care of that yourself when you'll be required to - as ASF can only try its best to keep the credentials for as long as possible. |
