ASF is asking for my 2FA code from my Steam authenticator app. Whenever I enter my Steam Guard code it just gets disconnected. I don't get it.

Steam network disconnects the client after login failure, yours as well. The code you input is used in the next login attempt, which should happen shortly afterwards.

Not using Steam platform sounds like a viable solution to not having anything to do with Steam login procedure, since it's not you who defines Steam platform architecture.

I'm surprised to see that the developer of such popular software is such a passive-aggressive individual. I wonder if the users decide to support you monetarily once they get to know that you treat your audience like this.

I've explained to you the behaviour of Steam network you might've been unfamiliar with, then answered you how you can stop that behaviour - you can't. If you see it as being passive-aggressive because it wasn't the answer you've expected or that you formulated your question wrongly, that's on you, not on me.

Since you're more interested in attacking my person rather than resolving your issue, I'm happy to close this, as it was answered.
