Your Android device must be rooted for this to work.
We will not explain this as it varies wildly between devices and you could easily break your device if you don't know what you're doing.
- Download the "SDK Platform-Tools for Windows" from https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html
- Unzip the file and extract the "platform-tools" folder.
- Copy the entire contents of the "platform-tools" folder into your SDA folder. You should now have adb.exe in the same folder as "Steam Desktop Authenticator.exe".
- Plug in your Android device with a USB cable, and make sure drivers are installed.
- Go to the settings app on your device, then click "About phone" or "About tablet", etc.
- Tap the "Build number" 10 times to enable developer options.
- Go back, and open "Developer options".
- Enable "USB Debugging".
- When prompted, tap "Allow" for debugging access.
- Once your device is detected, it will start checking and extracting.
- If more than one account is detected a dialog will popup asking you to choose one.
- When it's done, login to your account.
You can have both your Android device and SDA linked to your Steam account at the same time.
