JabRef version

Latest development branch build (please note build date below)

Operating system

GNU / Linux

Details on version and operating system

Ubuntu 20.04 with Gnome

Checked with the latest development build

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

  1. Import PDF
  2. Select download linked online files
  3. JabRef links the PDF and tries to download it. Since it is already local, this fails and produces an error.

The PDF was https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-319-47590-5.

Step 1:

grafik

Step 2:

grafik

Works now. However, I should not use that way in the concrete case. I should merely import the DOI and then download the PDF.
