CLAW-playbook FITS role intermittent issues

FITS tasks failed to execute in some cases. This maybe a download issue. This ticket is to followup on this issue.

Notes:
It is taking 5 mins to download FITS.

I keep running into this on the reg:

I'm seeing this today as well. I'll dig into it a little bit.

Looks like maybe the download is broken?
I can't manage to download the file in my browser either:
https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/files/fits/files/fits-1.2.0.zip

Can anyone else manage to download this file?

Probably an issue with the server, it says 122 mbytes but sends 6 mbytes and dies.

I sent a email using their contact form to let them know about the server issues. I'll see if I get a response.

We aren't using FITS right now, maybe we stop installing it. It always is the slowest download for me...not sure why.

Yeah, i commented out its include to keep the lights on. Might be worth disabling till we actually use it.

I also noticed this earlier today. Their site was loading fine but the fits zip files always resulted in a network error. I also emailed regarding the issue.

Is there a plan to add FITS back in?
