Introduction, 11am - 11:30am

The focus for today is a design challenge: Create an experience in the browser using p5 that responds to a single interaction -- the press of a button. Think creatively about your button -- is it a switch, a sensor, attached to your body, invisible?

You are randomly assigned a partner and should work together on this challenge:

Build the Project, 11:30am - 1:15pm

To accomplish this, you can divide the project into two parts (screen and physical) and split up the work or simply work on both aspects together however you like. Make sure you take a break to eat some lunch. For this to work, you'll need the following additional examples:

You will also need a version of the p5 IDE that supports serial. There is a release available here. If you are on windows, please see an ITP teacher or resident to get you up and running.

Show the project (1:15pm - 2:00pm)

Set up your project in your room assignment. For the first half hour, one of you will present your project and the other will float around other rooms and the lounge trying out other projects for 1-2 minutes each. For the second half hour, you will switch.
