As a scientist I want to be able to control the MMP210 MEAS M905 pressure transducer, so that I can subject samples to high pressure conditions in my experiments.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. Using the IBEX client, I can control the MMP210 M905 pressure transducer
  2. Using genie_python, I can control the MMP210 M905 pressure transducer

Notes

  1. Check the PEARL Instrument wiki.
  2. Need to check with instrument scientists and/or pressure section to discover how the MMP210 M905 pressure transducer is used on PEARL (and other instruments - e.g. WISH).
  3. The PEARL pressure controller is an ISIS-designed device. Copies of the technical manual are located here: \\isis\shares\ISIS_Experiment_Controls\Manuals\PEARL Pressure Controller.

This transducer has now been superseded by the MEAS M905 which communicates via RS485.

Device uses RS-485 (or RS-232 if configured) but uses a non-standard pinout, so just making up a connector for it now.
We should add info for this to the wiki page for this device once finished.

Could you add a PR in EPICS-top for the newly added submodules?

Sorry about that! Got a bit confused between EPICS-ioc and EPICS top
