As a muon scientist I would like an overview showing the status of all TPG300s, vacuum valves and blockers in the RIKEN front-end beamline.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. I can see an overview of all the RIKEN beamline vacuum system in a single view.
  2. For each TPG300, the overview should display
    • an icon, labelled with the device ID, showing the status (a circle, green: lit=ON/unlit=OFF)
    • alongside the icon, the pressure reading (mbar) from the TPG300.
  3. For each TPG300, the icon should function as a button, labelled with the TPG300 name.
    • on clicking the button, I can drill-down to the individual TPG300 OPI
  4. For each vacuum valve, the overview should display
    • an icon, labelled with the device ID, showing the status (a pair of triangles (apex-to-apex), green: lit=ON/unlit=OFF)
  5. For each blocker, the overview should display.
    • an icon, labelled with the device ID, showing the status (a square, green: lit=ON/unlit=OFF)

Notes

  1. This OPI is intended to be a "vacuum system synoptic". The muon scientists would like it to closely resemble the actual beamline branching structure.
    • c.f. the existing RIKEN front-end synoptic
      • which is topologically correct, if not entirely realistic
      • maybe a fully realistic OPI is not feasible (e.g. insufficient space on the screen)
    • Some ideas on what a synoptic could look like are sketched in the RIKEN Handover slides.
  2. Consult the photograph of the Vacuum HMI screen when creating the OPI.
  3. Need to check if pressure reading comes from the PLC or directly from the device.
    • check if units really are mbar
    • check number of decimal places to display
    • space could be tight, so it may not be possible to display the units or more than 1 or 2 decimal places
  4. The term device ID means the name used to identify the device on the beamline (e.g. TP7 or VV11).

This synoptic will need to get values from the PLCs for the vacuum system to show valve states as well as vacuum pressures which may be from the TPG300s. One IS request is that the status of the relays controlled by the TPG300s is also visible - they do not appear to be available directly from the TPG300 but should be available directly from the vacuum PLCs.

FYI for handover:

Only custom widgets for this synoptic were created as I focused on the magnet PSU OPI.
