As a developer I would like the galils to be loaded in the same way as other motor IOCs. Some examples of where other IOCs do things better are:

  • Axes are loaded at runtime rather than compile time based on the configuration
  • A common ISIS axes db is used for extra dbs that each axis will need
  • Uses a single IP field and a single MTRCTRL field for where they should be on the ToM
