Overview of the Feature Request

For each resource: datafile, dataset or collection, we need to get the owner information and the owners above. This is necessary so that the SPA can implement breadcrumb navigation.

The returned info must contain:

  • Identifier (PID / alias /numeric)
  • Resource type: file, dataset or collection
  • Display name (will be used in the breadcrumb)
  • Owner: object including the same parameters to have the hierarchy

What kind of user is the feature intended for?
API User.

What inspired the request?

  • SPA requirements

What existing behavior do you want changed?

  • None

Any brand new behavior do you want to add to Dataverse?

  • Extend the API to retrieve owner info for files, datasets and collections
