As a software developer with IBM Quantum, your job will be to write code for the suite of quantum software tools and cloud services that are part of our full-stack approach to delivering IBM’s quantum computing systems to quantum application developers and research scientists.
Areas of software development include quantum machine learning, quantum biology and health informatics, quantum algorithms for chemistry, quantum simulations, quantum optimization, quantum software architecture, cloud microservices, and cloud APIs (among other areas).

Quantum & Qiskit developer summer interns will work at either the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA), a workplace in New York City, or IBM Research–Almaden (San Jose, CA, USA) for up to 12 weeks during the summer of 2022.
As an engineer with IBM Quantum, your job will be to advance the development of quantum computing systems. Areas of engineering include hardware, firmware, superconducting qubits, cryoelectronic circuit design, quantum microwave engineering, and quantum FPGA engineering (among other areas).

Quantum engineer summer interns will work at either the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA) or one of the IBM Quantum labs in Rochester, MN, USA or Poughkeepsie, NY, USA for up to 12 weeks during the summer of 2022.
As an experimentalist, theorist, or quantum information scientist with IBM Quantum, your job will be to advance the field of quantum computing research. Areas of research include superconducting qubits, quantum control, quantum error correction, quantum complexity theory, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum compilers and optimizers (among other areas).
Applications are now closed for all quantum research summer 2022 internship roles within the United States, as well as for the Quantum Undergraduate Research at IBM and Princeton (QURIP) internship program.
Quantum research interns will work at either the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA) or IBM Research–Almaden (San Jose, CA, USA) for up to twelve weeks during the summer of 2022.
Quantum Undergraduate Research at IBM and Princeton (QURIP) interns will work at Princeton for six weeks followed by six weeks at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY, USA).
