Consecutive Hours of precip in Southeast US:
HadEX2_CWD_ANN_TimeSeries_1901-2010_32 06to42 78_-92 42to-69 18 (1)

  • roughly 6.5 days is the maximum using climdex dataset HadEX3
  • can see if we can run tests using this for consecutive hours or if there's a lower number we can use
  • https://www.climdex.org/access/
  • Use CWD Variable for consecutive wet days

I was able to create a bash script that appends all of the files from one directory to all of the files with same name in other directory. We can use this after running Gopal's ASCII_to_LSEG function

It is located in /backup/meteorology/ and the file is called testing_appending.bash

Here is a quick and extremely bare boned workflow for the nldas process. Hopefully we will get more time to add to it this week!
