The current examples are deficient because they are always running even when the service worker is not being served and they do not differentiate between the admin service worker and the (intended) front service worker.
Aside: Should we move all of these docs into the Wiki as opposed to maintaining a GitHub-friendly version and a version for the WordPress.org plugin directory? It's currently hard to maintain in this way.
