In our idp3 templates there are mix of next string:
...%%{ipd.home}...
...%(hostname)s...

As result this specific version skips these files rendering which led to application startup errors.

We can reproduce this issue under "Debian 8.4"

It was setup issue. According to this fix in setup we overwrite already rendered IDP3 tempaltes by their un-rendered version.
