Issues installing snapcast client

I've followed the tutorial to the letter, getting up to the following point:

stephen@gizmo3:~/wyoming-enhancements/snapcast $ sudo apt install ./snapclient_0.27.0-1_armhf.deb
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'snapclient:armhf' instead of './snapclient_0.27.0-1_armhf.deb'
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
snapclient:armhf : Depends: libflac8:armhf (>= 1.3.0) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I've tried sudo apt upgrade but to no avail. Any idea what may be going wrong?

im having this same issue have tried 3 fresh installs

0.28.0-1_armhf-bookworm.deb is the one you want to pick i got it working after that
