Add more ACME features to CIME Add ACME timers and timing logic to driver, including altered treatment of initialization, saving per process data for each component root process, and adding support for an option to collect only the minimum-required performance data. Add ACME enhanced control of performance data collection: prof_inparm namelist variables: profile_outpe_num, profile_outpe_stride, profile_ovhd_measurement papi_inparm namelist variables: papi_ctr1_str, papi_ctr2_str, papi_ctr3_str, papi_ctr4_str env_run.xml variables: TIMER_DETAIL (for profile_timer_detail), TPROF_TOTAL (number of performance data checkpoints) Add first-pass of ability to archive enhanced timing and provenance information, with full support for Edison only. modify cesm_build.pl to save build times and call: cesm_postbuild - saves git and svn info, sourcemods and build_environment to $exe_dir. modify template.cesmrun to call: cesm_prerun.$mach - after job is queued, add queue info to CaseStatus, archive $caseroot info, start syslog cesm_postrun.$mach - after job runs, save jobid info, kill syslog job (if necessary) cesm_postrun2.$mach - archive logs, and info from postbuild. archive location is $save_timing_dir/performance_archive/$user/$case/$lid Add ability to use Depends.mach.compiler Add ACME's pio runtime options (commented out for now). env_run.xml variables (commented out): PIO_REARR_COMM_TYPE, PIO_REARR_COMM_FCD, PIO_REARR_COMM_MAX_PEND_REQ, PIO_REARR_COMM_ENABLE_HS, PIO_REARR_COMM_ENABLE_ISEND pio_default_inparm namelist variables: pio_rearr_comm_enable_hs, pio_rearr_comm_enable_isend, pio_rearr_comm_fcd, pio_rearr_comm_max_pend_req, pio_rearr_comm_type Add syslog.mach progress monitoring scripts. Update GPTL with latest ACME version. and also modify perf_mod.F90 to adopt element of API from CIME version so as to be consistent with usage in driver routines. This disables some functionality, but does not disable required functionality. A future check-in will restore this in a way consistent with both CIME and ACME.

Finish Infiltration modularization - mainly h2osfc updates Finish the modularization of subroutine Infiltration. The main focus here is modularizing the calculation of fluxes out of h2osfc and the updates of the h2osfc state variable. Flux calculations and state updates are now done separately. Where a flux calculation depends on a partially-updated version of h2osfc, this is now made explicit in a way that could facilitate removing this partial update later.
