A rudamentary example of using Noble to listen to heart rate data heart rate sensors. This project is implemented by using the backend along with a Websocket server to transmit the data it receives to a boilerplate react application.
- Install node
- Clone this repo
- In the root directory, run
npm install
to install noble - While wearing the heart rate monitor, run
npm run start
- Go to my-app directory
- Run
npm install
- Run
npm run start
- After a few seconds, you should see heart rate data logged in the website that is opened in the browser
This should function with all bluetooth heart rate sensors that broadcast the 180d service.
Add redis for preserving heart rate monitor data across the application. This also will help when using multiple interfaces ( currently in Linux only ) which use the same script. This is because of the limitation of the bluetooth adapter to 7-12 maximum connections. See more details here: https://github.com/sandeepmistry/noble#multiple-adapters
https://github.com/jakelear for helping me understand the process. It was a great start.
