I've tried this: it doesnt seem to do anything, Is this still a valid edit to the Yaml file? |
I'm looking at the Python code itself, But it doesnt seem to acutally filter anything based on the "download filter" in the yaml file.? |
Excuse me. How do you get the chat id. The web doesn't begin with '?legacy=1#/im?p=' , but begin with 'k/#' |
On web, when you have the correct chat window open, check the URL for a
string of numbers, about 10 numbers long, copy those numbers and don't
forget to put the dash - in front.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Im having issues with a old and very long chat history, It goes back at least two years now the script seems to start at the beginning every time I launch it.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to set a start and end date range for the script to download files and media from, and perhaps the script could create a folder for that period to store the files in, to help with organisation?
Describe alternatives you've considered
I thought it may be possible to save a list of files downloaded, so that the script can know exactly what it has already pulled, but that could get very long, and would probably slow it down a fair bit?
Additional context
This is the best downloader i've tried so far, no issues getting it working, Thanks for your effort!
