The jDHBenelux Author Template

This repository contains the latest official versions of the LaTeX template that authors are required to use when they finalize their contribtions to the DH Benelux Journal. The repository synchronizes with the corresponding easy-to-use and well-documented Overleaf Template that provides authors with a low threshold environment for writing LaTeX – but can be used with any LaTeX compiler.

Detailed documentation on how to use this template can be found on the website of the Digital Humanities Journal.

About the Journal

The DH Benelux Journal is the official journal of the DH Benelux community, which has been organizing Digital Humanities conferences across the Benelux since 2014.

Since 2019, the community has published a yearly volume of select full-length articles that are based on presentations that were accepted at the preceding conference. The Journal is rigorously peer reviewed by experts in the field, and edited by an editorial board where rotating Guest Editors (usually the programme chairs of the relevant conference) are assisted by a more fixed group of general editors who ensure the Journal's continuity.

The Journal's individual volumes are freely accessible in Open Access, and their articles are licensed under a CC-BY license.

Credits

The development of this template started from the varianTeX template that was originally designed for Variants (the Journal of the European Society for Textual Scholarship) by Wout Dillen. It took its current shape in close collaboration with Marijn Koolen who played an invaluable part in simplifying the template further, adopting it to the needs of the DH Benelux Journal, and providing detailed documentation for authors who wish to use it.

For the Journal, the resulting LaTeX files are compiled into PDF versions in Overleaf, but their conversion into HTML versions is realized using the dhbenelux-converter that was expressly developed for this purpose by Folgert Karsdorp in collaboration with Joris Van Zundert.
