HTTP and Websocket Calls

In CYBEX, both HTTP and Websocket calls are accessible via regular JSON formatted websocket connection.The parameters params in both ways have the following structure:

[API-identifier, Method-to-Call, Call-Parameters]

HTTP Call

HTTP calls query the database by read-only mode. Websocket calls can also perform database modification.

Websocket Call with wscat

The following will show the usage of websocket connections. We make use of the wscat application available via npm:

$ npm install -g wscat
$ wscat -c ws://127.0.0.1:8090

Successful Call

The API will return a properly JSON formated response carrying the same id as the request to distinguish subsequent calls.
