For install (at helm install):

  • Try adding an extraInitContainer on the postgres chart using the galaxy image and running the upgrade_db script

For upgrades/downgrades (for already running Galaxy/DB):

  • Upgrade/Downgrade Helm hooks that will run when doing helm upgrade/helm downgrade
