Sending NPC to "Craft Tinder" from bulletin board deletes NPC?

NPC seems to disappear from existence and no option to "recover/return" for them when selecting "Craft:Tinder" from the bulletin board.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Make a camp, have 1 extension (tested with kitchen) have 1 NPC, select "craft tinder" from board on the extended base plot.
2. NPC is gone. No option to recover them and they don't seem to return after a given time.

Expected behavior

NPC does the crafting and returns. Or option to return the NPC from task. Or would be great if the task fails gracefully (if requirements not met, error/no action taken) or similar? But that depends on what type of problem it is.

Version 9019 / 0.D-3304-gc5fd74f tiles.

Seems it works fine when selecting an NPC to craft tinder from "main" but when selecting from the other parts of the base (kitchen in my case) there is no option to return the NPC.
