Is there a youtube video to install the launcher the wrong way?
Is there an outdated blog post?

You opend the 9th duplicate of an error with an very outdated version of the launcher.
See the list of all duplicates already exist

I have written a lot of answers, but it keeps coming up. v0.1b2 is current, but v0.1b1 found here:
#154 (comment), is still never than the one you still have.

Also nobody of the reporters responded at all

I heard of a potenially tampered Launcher from mediafire

You find offical releases from me on github (https://github.com/ChristopherHX/osx-packaging-scripts/releases/tag/ng.dmg).
They are still unsigned, but it seems to be reasonable to increase secureity.
