Lightsource

first planned with a single, high light quality (CRI 97) white LED. But as camera sensors only detect red, green and blue, a set of a red, green and blue LED might be sufficient. This would also allow the live adjustment of the histogram during scanning, as each color channel can be dimmed individualy.

Additionally, a IR-LED can be used to take an image for scratch detection. In this case, a camera module without IR filter has to be used!

Use a UV LED/laser (e.g. of a blu ray player), so that even transparent or bad perforations can be detected: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wecZJvvL05c
