After establishing Figshare authorization, tried to follow "Create Project" workflow through add-on. Here's what happened. Might be working correctly, but more help text might be needed to know what to do in this situation.

Free FigShare accounts can only have one project, so if you had an existing project, that's why it wouldn't create. I was able to reproduce this when I had a project, but I deleted my project and used the create project button and it worked as expected.

Resolved some of this issue:

(1) Created a project on Figshare site (didn't have one before, just had data in "My Data"), and then put data in it.

(2) Refreshed OSF Figshare add-on and project was visible. Submitted with that project and it worked.

Problems:

(1) Needs better tool tips or error language indicating how to get the Figshare add-on to configure properly.

(2) Follow-up....Went back and deleted Figshare file in Figshare. Updated OSF and now nothing shows in the file manager. Settings shows this error with the Configure Add-Ons:

Resolutions:

(1) Need to figure out why Create Project didn't work (I didn't already have one in my Figshare account, so wasn't the free 1 project limit issue).

(2) Depending on solution to resolution 1, possibly consider "Could not create project. Try creating a project in your Figshare account and then refreshing your OSF configuration page."

(3) For "Configure Add-ons" error, perhaps "The Figshare Add-on is currently experiencing an error. Try unchecking the add-on and then starting the configuration process over. If this continues to fail, please contact us at [email protected] ."

Disabling creation of FigShare projects for now, because FS only allows one project per user for non-premium (read: most) accounts.

I think that's a good choice for now.
