i only have this bug when i play 1.18.1 with sodium(both alpha6-build14 and alpha5-build9). i have java up to date

whenever i enter the game, the game itself stuck on red mojang screen, the loading bar doesn't go up and the game turns not responding.

i tried run with only fabric api and sodium but still, i cant get pass the red mojang screen, if i run without mods it works perfectly fine

how do i fix this? sorry if my english is bad

You should give the log file available in .minecraft/logs/latest.log

You should try to delete the config file and the .fabric file from your .minecraft

Also, be sure to use the default format in the future. If not, your post has a risk of being labeled "Invalid" and it can be near impossible for people like jellysquid to help you. So take that as a tip.

Possibly a duplicate of #899, try updating your graphics drivers if possible

My problem is fixed by updating graphics driver

also experiencing this issue. sodium itself is the cause, since removing it makes everything run fine. It also doesn't always happen, which is even more confusing...

This is a problem with broken graphics drivers. You need to download and install the latest driver for your system to fix the problem. For more information, see the duplicate issue here.

updating drivers worked for me

Ever since I haven't messed with the graphics driver, and before, it used to run smoothly without any problems.
There haven't been any updates to Java, Minecraft, or the mods and Fabric Loader.

Some folks mentioned that installing the graphics driver worked, but it needed a computer restart for the changes to take effect. So, I gave it a shot by simply restarting without installing the latest driver. And guess what? It worked!

@sdcdsnnh Stop spamming the issue tracker. The solution was linked in this thread. You must update your graphics driver.
