Unable to reproduce this issue. I've tested uploading files lacking a basisOfRecord field and with a basisOfRecord present but with null values. In both cases, basisOfRecord is set to PreservedSpecimen. If you are still experiences this issue, please reopen this issue and provide the upload file that is causing issues.
