We use the wpcomProxyRequest directly in Gutenberg api middleware. clients that use oauth like Desktop will likely have these requests fail.

Let's update code here to for now use:

import wpcom from 'lib/wp';
//...
wpcom.req.get( /...
wpcom.req.post( /...
