Since we have one series per CPU, the older query was counting number of CPUs, not number of hosts/instances
Ideally global_tag_filter should be empty. The host tag does not make sense for es metrics as it is the host of the collector not the node being monitored. But due to limitations in the provisioning code, rolled back the change to make it empty
